This Saturday we visited the official KTM distributor Spormoto. Our aim was to try new Superduke GT, but unfortunately it was not available. Then we changed our route to KTM 1190 ADV, since we had a 990 ADV experience, it would be a good test to see the diffeerences.
Actually one my friend has one, and I tried it before. It is smoother than 990 Adv, and more street oriented. Brakes are much better, and seating position is more comfortable. If you are using the bike in street mode it is very user friendly I can say. But if you take it into sport mode, then it becomes a beast. But still I can say that 990 is more aggresive and punchy. It is pure racing bike. This one is more like a tourer one with adventure soul in it.
Corner stability is KTM quality thanks to the fully adjustable White Power suspensions. And because of the 19 inches front and 17 inches rear rims, the steering and handling of the bikes is relatively easy to it’s successor 990.
Another surprising point is the fuel economy of this beast. The engine is so well adjusted and remapped that fuel consumption is very competitive to most of the new bikes of this segment.
But if you ask me, which one is more fun, I would select 990. If you are searching for a modern and racing soul bike, then the choice will be 1190 Adv.
