This is Yamaha YBR 125 ESD. This motorcycle is quite much used in UK for CBT trainings, as well as a courier motorcycle in Turkey.
Before this one I had a KTM 990 Adventure while Tuğçe had a Yamaha MT 09. Both had equipped with 115 horse powers. We also had a Yamaha Xmax 250 for daily commuting and a Suzuki Jimny car. Other then these we didn’t have any saved money in any of our bank accounts.
To do this trip we had to sell of those mentioned above. And with the final budget we had to choose to motorcycle with enough reliability. We were quite sure that we had nothing to do with speed in this trip. That’s why we omit the speed parameter from the equation and left with 2-3 options. YBR 125 was the most reliable with less problems, cheap, and for us the most good looking motorcycle. We decided to buy two second hand but well used motorcycles.
In addition to price and maintenance advantages this motorcycle had the advantage of carrying a lot of load because of its traditional tail fixed rear suspensions which were able to support the chassis under heavy load.
Everything was clear other than one question, would the power be enough especially after 115 hps? This question would need a few months to get answered.
